Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise marks a daring pivot in a format fans have followed for nearly a decade. Filmed for the first time outside Mexico, the new edition premieres from a luxury resort in Costa Rica, offering not just a fresh tropical backdrop but an unexpected fusion of generations — and intentions.
After skipping 2024 for franchise realignments, ABC’s popular spin-off is back with the most diverse cast in its history. Alongside familiar faces from the modern Bachelor Nation, ten contestants from the senior editions — The Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette — arrive, bringing heart, humor, and life experience to the beach.
The show’s makeover isn’t just aesthetic. The move to Azura Beach Resort in Costa Rica came after safety and health concerns during previous seasons filmed in Sayulita, Mexico. The new location provides air-conditioned suites, enhanced security, and wellness-focused amenities — designed especially with the “Goldens” in mind.
“We wanted a space where everyone could feel safe — and where romance could bloom at any age,” said host Jesse Palmer in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He returns alongside bartender Wells Adams and former Bachelorette Hannah Brown, who now serves as “Director of Paradise Relations” — guiding conflicts and offering support to the emotionally tangled.

One of the season’s most talked-about names is Dale Moss, 36, the winner from Clare Crawley’s season. Following a public split with influencer Galey Alix, Moss told People he joined Paradise as a way to “escape” and “reconnect with something [he] still believes in: love.” His presence has divided fans — some rooting for his redemption, others still wary of his past drama.
Among the “Goldens,” Sam McKinney — the “sexy cowboy” from the 2023 senior season — arrived at the resort under a cloud of controversy. Labeled a villain in his original run, McKinney wasted no time clashing with younger castmates, reigniting his reputation as a polarizing presence.
But Bachelor in Paradise 10 isn’t all about big personalities. The production has incorporated emotional and physical compatibility tests, challenging connections even before contestants meet face to face. In one standout moment, players engage with shadowy silhouettes behind a curtain — forming impressions and emotional bonds before learning who’s on the other side.
According to showrunner Scott Teti, this season reflects an “emotional evolution of the audience” and aims to reward genuine connection, even while embracing the chaotic fun of reality TV. “The audience is more mature. But that doesn’t mean they don’t love twists, drama, or a juicy love triangle,” he said.
Along with reinvented challenges, the season relies heavily on intergenerational interaction as its narrative fuel. In clips released by ABC, “Golden” cast members can be seen mentoring — and even flirting with — their younger counterparts. The strategy, while controversial, adds both lightness and emotional depth to early interactions.
At the heart of it all is the same timeless pursuit: love. And that, Bachelor in Paradise understands well. Whether 25 or 75, these contestants seem determined to throw themselves into the journey — with all the champagne toasts, heartbreak, and spontaneous beach confessions it entails.

For longtime fans, the premiere episode brought a nostalgic mood wrapped in novelty. The glances across themed parties, the intimate poolside chats, and, yes, the inevitable tearful confessions are all back — now with more wisdom, empathy, and perhaps more lasting connections.
New episodes air Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, with streaming available on Hulu, fuboTV, and DIRECTV. If production delivers on its promise, this might just be Paradise’s most unpredictable, emotionally rich, and compelling season to date.
